Finding Calm Amidst Chaos

Life isn’t always going to be swell.

One minute you’re in calm waters floating along, then suddenly you get caught in the undertide. Before you have time to react, a giant wave crashes over; tossing you through the water like a piece of limp & lifeless seaweed. You say to yourself, “This looks familiar, i’ve been here before. Why does this keep happening to me?”.

Life is relatively easy when things are going well. Challenges and setbacks are opportunities for us to expand, learn and grow.

Have you thought about all the energy you consume by letting the waves of life constantly take you for a ride?

Life is an ocean that cannot be tamed.

You can try to control the tides as best you can. You can hope that your success is defined by how calm your side of the beach is. You can work really hard to propel the winds to go in the direction you think is best, but I can promise that at some point, life will show you what a tidal wave it can be.

Your external life is a constant evolving up & down constant of change. This is the nature of life. You can continue to stress over trying to control illusions, or you can put that energy toward living presently no matter what shows up.

There is an anchor within you that is available no matter how strong the storm, finding calm amidst chaos. This is equanimity.

Finding that anchor teaches us that we can take a step back and become an observer of our challenges & struggles, knowing that they will pass just like our proudest & happiest moments.

We can be at peace no matter what is happening in our lives.

You are this beautiful energetic being that has the capability to stop, breathe and remind yourself that all your experiences are neither positive or negative. They just are. Accept all of it with open arms-the struggle, the pain, excitement & joy. Let yourself be open to all that surfaces and shows up in your life.

Change your relationship with struggle. See how the yin & yang of light and dark deepens your connection to all of life’s experiences.
